Dear Parents/Carers,
The PE department has noticed an increased number of students attending their PE lessons without a full PE kit. Students have been relying on the spare kit that is provided to them to make sure they are able to fully access the lessons.
The PE department kit policy states that students who do not bring a full PE kit will be expected to borrow a spare kit which staff will provide. Failure to borrow a spare will continue to result in a removal to your child’s college IER.
We wish to remind parents, carers and students that from Module 5 the PE department will be following the sanctions seen below for students who frequently forget their PE kit.
- 1st offence – Verbal warning
- 2nd offence – 30-minute detention
- 3rd offence – 60-minute detention
- 4th offence – 60-minute detention with HOD and parent/guardian meeting.
- 5th offence – SLT intervention
We are writing this letter to provide you with the time to source a new Strood PE kit for the beginning of Module 5 so that your child is fully prepared for their PE lessons. This kit should include:
- Strood Academy Polo Shirt
- Strood Academy Rugby Shirt (Optional)
- Strood Academy Leggings or Plain Navy Blue Leggings
- Strood Academy Tracksuit Bottoms or Plain Navy Blue Tracksuit Bottoms
- Trainers
