I am writing to you today as Principal of Strood Academy. We are committed to ensuring a smooth and successful transition for Year 6 pupils joining us in September 2024.
To achieve this, we are planning a series of visits to our local primary schools, and I would be delighted to bring a team from Strood Academy to visit your school.
During this visit we would like to:
- Meet with Year 6 pupils to introduce ourselves, Strood Academy, and the exciting opportunities that await them.
- Have the opportunity to meet with Year 6 teachers to discuss individual pupils strengths, needs, and curriculum progress. This would be invaluable in ensuring a seamless continuation of learning for your students upon arrival at Strood Academy.
- As well as meet with the pupils that are joining us in September 2024, it is essential that we build strong respectful relationships from the onset to enable a successful transition to Strood Academy.
We believe this visit will be a fantastic opportunity to alleviate any anxieties your Year 6 pupils may have about starting secondary school and to foster a positive relationship between our schools.
