Dear Parents/Carers,
I am writing to you to confirm your child’s subject options for their Key Stage 4 courses.
At Strood Academy we are in a very fortunate position to be able to offer an extensive range of options and to have those staffed by subject specialists despite the national recruitment and retention challenges faced by schools currently. As a result, I am pleased to confirm that the vast majority of all first choice options made by students can be confirmed and will be timetabled for the next academic year.
The only exception to this is Separate Sciences (Triple Science) which we are now unable to offer. Students selecting this option will instead be placed into their first reserve option. Additionally, those choosing both Art & 3D design together will need to swap one for a reserve option and I will discuss this with those affected in Module 5.
A reminder of the subjects chosen will be provided to form tutors to pass onto students at the beginning of Module 5.
