Dear Parents/Carers,
We at Strood Academy are committed to keeping our pupils safe at school and within our local community.
In September, if a pupil chooses to travel to school using a bike; they must wear a helmet. The bike must have working components that are fit for purpose.
As your child will use roads to cycle, make sure they have lights and wear bright clothing such as high-visibility vests as the days will begin to get shorter in Term 1 as we draw closer to Winter.
Should a pupil arrive at school without a helmet or a faulty bike, we will keep their bike safe within school until a parent/carer comes to collect it.
Pupils should not ride their bike on the school site. This includes the road leading to the main entrance gate to the school site.
