Student Exam Timetables Summer Exams
All student Timetables can be found on the My Child at School App. Located left and under Exam Timetables. This is live, and will be updated with rooms/seats in due course. Students have also received a hard copy of their timetable. Once rooming and seats have been finalised a final copy will be issued to students.
A reminder that JCQ contingency dates are as following and all students need to reminder available up until this date incase JCQ invoke this:
- 6th June – PM
- 13th June PM
- 26th June – All Day
How can you help at home:
To further support your child’s success during this period, I would like to share with you the 5 stage revision strategy that we have shared with the students to best prepare them for their exams:
- Make a list of everything you need to revise
- Timetable your revision (students have been provided with a revision calendar which they should populate with the tasks they will complete throughout the weeks leading up to their final exams)
- Use effective revision strategies (we have demonstrated how best to use flashcards to ensure that students are continuously testing their knowledge rather than simply reading information)
- Identify the gaps in your knowledge (this will occur from self-testing from the flashcards and through exam practice)
- Close the gaps (once students have attempted questions, they should then add to their responses by checking their notes and then testing themselves on this content later on

We also recommend that students use online flashcard creators such as https://www.brainscape.com/ to ensure they maximise their use of self-testing to commit core knowledge to long term memory.
