Studying Global Politics will provide you with an opportunity to develop a deep understanding of your place and that of the UKs in the world. You will consider the local, national and international global dimensions of political activity. This course provides an exciting opportunity for you to deepen your perspective on many political areas that not only affect the lives of citizens in the world but also your own.

Global politics is an exciting, dynamic subject that draws on a variety of disciplines in the social sciences and humanities, reflecting the complex nature of many contemporary political issues. The study of global politics enables students to critically engage with different and new perspectives and approaches to politics in order to comprehend the challenges of the changing world and become aware of their role in it as active global citizens.
This course will prepare you for opportunities in further or higher education. You may choose the subject sphere of politics on a global and national scale. Higher education degrees such as Global Politics or International relations open doors to work in a variety of organisations including international bodies and lobbyist groups. Further study or careers in the sphere range from roles in public services, charities, Public servants and other political organisations.
