Dear Parents and Carers,
We’ve recently conducted a parent survey, and one area highlighted for improvement was communication. Here at Strood Academy, we value your feedback immensely and consider it a gift that helps us grow.
To date we have launched many strategies that have increased and improved our communications, these include:
- A weekly bulletin issued each Friday to share the latest information from the academy
- Daily streams of information shared on our social media platforms
- Increased college pastoral teams to support your child
- Introduction of our daily drop in sessions
- Introduction of our request a callback function
- A redesign of our website to ensure all information is accessible and up to date
- Our contact us page has a number of different methods to get in touch
- Each module we hold a parent voice forum to support working collaboratively with all families.
Whilst we appreciate we have implemented many steps to improving our communication streams we still recognise there is room for improvement and one of these areas has been the redesign of our phone systems. Therefore, I’m pleased to announce that, starting on Monday, May 13th, we will be implementing a revised communication strategy to better serve you. Here’s what you can expect:
- Enhanced Phone System: When you call the academy, you will be greeted by a more detailed dial plan, allowing you to direct your call to the specific department you require.
- Improved Response Time: We have streamlined our internal systems to ensure all inquiries are addressed in a timely manner.
- Extended Out-of-Hours Service: Our out-of-hours service has been updated so you can leave messages for the appropriate department during evenings and weekends.
