Intent

The qualification provides an engaging and stimulating introduction to the world of travel and tourism giving you the opportunity to develop knowledge and technical skills in a practical learning environment. You will explore some of the key areas within the sector, including accommodation, tourism development and promotion, transport and visitor attractions. You will investigate the importance of the travel and tourism sector to the UK, and investigate different types of destinations both in the UK and further afield

Curriculum Journey

In Year 10 the students will gain an understanding of the Travel and Tourism sector and also the different types of destinations in the UK. With this understanding the students will then be able to apply this to international destinations and also customer experiences in Units 3 and 4

Pupils studying travel and tourism will be well placed to pursue a career pathway in:
