Dear Parents/Carers
I’m writing to you about our upcoming Year 10 Parents’ Evening on Thursday, 27th February, from 4:00 pm
to 7:00 pm. This evening is a particularly important one as it marks the beginning of your child’s GCSE
journey. It’s a chance for us to connect and discuss how they’ve settled into their chosen subjects and how
they’re approaching the challenges and opportunities ahead.
We’ll be focusing on how your child has started their GCSE courses, identifying their strengths, and
highlighting any areas where they might need some extra support as they prepare for the Module 6 mock
examinations. Your insights and perspectives are invaluable to us, and we believe that working together will
help ensure a successful GCSE experience for your child.
Booking opens on Monday 10th February at 8:00 am and can be booked until 12:00 pm on Thursday, 27th
February. Appointments are scheduled for 4 minutes each, if you need more time with a teacher, please
contact the academy after your appointment with your details, and a member of the team will get back to
you.
In addition to meeting the year 10 teachers you will have an opportunity to attend a range of stalls to
support you. These will include;
● MCAS sign up and support
● Parent Voice table
● Meet the Pastoral team
● SEN Table
We strongly encourage you to attend this meeting as it will provide you with valuable insight into your
child’s academic and personal development. If you are unable to attend the parents’ evening, please inform
us as soon as possible, so we can arrange an alternative meeting time or provide a summary of the
discussion.

your child’s college directly and we will be happy to add appointments on your behalf.
