As you are aware, the academy is undergoing a rebranding from Strood Academy to Leigh Academy Strood, effective from 1st September 2025. In light of this transition, there have been numerous inquiries regarding the uniform. To assist you in this matter, I have compiled some important details below.
To clarify, when you purchase new uniform items, they will feature the new academy logo. However, there is no expectation for parents and carers to purchase new uniform for September 2025. Our uniform supplier, Brigade, is collaborating closely with the academy to ensure a seamless transition.
From 1st June 2025, any uniform purchased will be dispatched with the new academy logo. Should your child wish to wear this updated uniform during Module 6, that will be perfectly acceptable.
We have received feedback from parents regarding the opportunity for students to try on uniform items to ensure that the correct sizes are ordered. The academy has been issued sample stock, allowing pupils to try a range of sizes before parents make their purchasing decisions. We hope this facilitates accurate uniform selection.
During our Year 6 transition day on Thursday, 3rd July, Brigade will be present at the academy throughout the day. If you would like your child to be professionally measured, please inform Julie Tingley via email at julie.tingley@stroodacademy.org, and we will gladly organise this for you.
Please note that the final date for delivery to the academy for uniform orders intended for September 2025 is 13th June. Additionally, the latest date for home delivery orders in preparation for September is 1st August. I encourage you to keep these dates in mind as we approach the summer months.
We have arranged for both home delivery (which will incur a postage and packing charge) and academy delivery as options when purchasing uniform online. Please remember that if you select the academy delivery option, uniforms will be dispatched every two weeks, which may lead to some delays from order to delivery.
