Why study A level 3D Design?

Students will experience a wide range of different skills and knowledge through practical making, designing and focussed research. You should study this if you are interested in a career in 3D design, product design and fashion design.

You will design and make, creative approaches to problem solving and would like to develop a wide range of solutions to real world problems then this subject would be perfect for you.

What will I study during the course duration?

You will learn about how to use research skills to design outcomes and practical solutions. You will use a wide range of processes to create your 3D outcomes. You will use tools, machines, fabric processes and paper based model making.

How will I be assessed?

You will be assessed through two units of work:

  • 60% Coursework
  • 40% exam
