Instructions from the teacher are placed weekly in the Google classrooms. Teachers will ensure that the students can access these using their Chromebooks.
- Students are expected to complete all assigned homework on time.
- Students should seek assistance from their teachers or attend the lunch time homework club when they encounter difficulties before the deadline for submission of homework.
- Students must submit their own work.
- Students who miss homework will be required to make up any missed work.
- Students who do not complete homework on time may receive a sanction.
There are a number of ways that you can support your son/daughter at home:
- At the start of term they may need help with developing a routine once they come home from school.
Part of developing a routine will be to decide where to complete the homework; somewhere they can focus but also ask for help from a parent/carer/sibling if needed. - Monitoring the Google Classrooms for what homework has been set occasionally, maybe once or twice a week, would also be supportive.
- Praise for their effort and completion of work to a high standard also helps students to continue with the weekly homework routine.
- Please check MCAS for to check for after school homework sessions or referrals to the homework clinic.
