Dear Parents and Carers,
At Strood Academy we are committed to ensuring that each child experiences a smooth and positive transition into secondary education.
To facilitate this process, we have organised several key events designed to support our Year 7 students as they joined us in September 2024.
The following events have taken place:
- Year 6 Taster Sessions: These sessions provide students with the opportunity to experience a variety of subjects and get a feel for life at Strood Academy.
- Year 7 Transition Day: On the 4th July 2024, this day allowed students to meet their future classmates and familiarise themselves with the school environment.
- Year 7 Welcome to Strood Academy Evening: On the 5th September 2024, parents and students were invited to join us for an evening dedicated to welcoming our new Year 7s and providing important information this academic year.
- Year 7 Chromebook Collection: We distributed Chromebooks on the 12th September 2024, ensuring that all students are equipped with the necessary technology to support their learning. ● Year 7 Meet the Tutor Evening: This important event took place on the 19th September 2024, and gave parents an opportunity to meet their child’s tutor and discuss any queries or concerns.
We believe that these events are essential in helping to create a supportive community for our students and foster an environment conducive to their academic and social growth.
