Dear Parents/Carers,
I hope this letter finds you well. We are pleased to invite you to our Year 13 Information Evening, which will take place on Thursday, 26th September, from 5:00pm to 6:00pm. This event is of utmost importance as it provides an opportunity for us to discuss key aspects of your child’s final year and how we can work together to ensure their success.
During the evening, we will provide information regarding UCAS applications, which are a crucial component of their journey towards higher education. We will address the timeline for submissions and offer guidance on how to best support your child in crafting their personal statements and selecting appropriate universities.
Additionally, we will discuss the upcoming mock examinations, which play a vital role in preparing students for the challenges of external assessments.
Moreover, we will provide details regarding the start of the official examination period, as well as critical deadlines for internal assessments (IA) and coursework submissions. Our aim is to ensure that both students and parents are well-informed and prepared as we approach these significant assessments.
During the meeting, we will also share the range of support we offer to your child, including academic guidance, and resources available through our school. Furthermore, we will explore how you, as parents and carers, can provide essential support at home to foster an environment conducive to study and well-being during this demanding period.
Your presence at this meeting is invaluable, as it underscores the collaborative effort necessary for your child’s success. We greatly appreciate your partnership in their educational journey and look forward to sharing this vital information with you. Please confirm your attendance by completing this form.
Thank you for your continued support. We look forward to seeing you on the 26th of September.
Yours sincerely,
Victoria Wrighton | Head of 6th Form, Assistant Principal
