Dear Parents/Carers,
Re: Year 11 PE Kit Expectations for the Upcoming Academic Year
I hope this letter finds you well. As we prepare for the upcoming academic year, we would like to remind you of the expectations regarding the Physical Education kit for students entering Year 11 in September.
PE continues to be an important part of the curriculum in Year 11, promoting physical fitness, wellbeing, and teamwork. To ensure that all students are able to participate fully and safely in PE lessons, it is essential that they arrive prepared with the correct kit.
Students are expected to wear the following PE kit-
- Strood Academy branded t shirt
- Strood Academy branded shorts/leggings/tracksuit bottoms
- Strood Academy branded jumper
- Suitable sports trainers
We do, however, recognise that your child may grow out of their current PE kit throughout year 11 and to support you we will then accept the following: plain black or blue shorts, a plain black or white t-shirt and a plain black or blue jumper. All of these items should not have any large brand names or logos on them. Please communicate with your child’s PE teacher if they grow out of their current kit and they will need to wear these alternative items towards the later stages of year 11.
Please ensure that all items are clearly labelled with your child’s name. Students who do not bring the correct kit will be provided with a kit from the academy and receive a sanction in line with our PE policy.
If there are any concerns regarding the provision of PE kit, please do not hesitate to contact us in confidence so that we can offer support.
