Dear Parents/Carers,
I hope this letter finds you well. We are fast approaching the first significant milestone in your child’s academic journey through Year 11.
Mock Exams
The Year 11 mock examinations are an integral part of our year 11 journey process. These mock exams provide an opportunity for both students and teachers to assess the progress students have made in their respective subjects. They help identify strengths and areas that may require additional attention.
Mock exams simulate the conditions of the final exams, allowing students to become familiar with the format, timing, and expectations, which can help alleviate anxiety when it comes to the actual exams. The results of these mock exams will provide valuable feedback to both students and teachers. This feedback will be used to tailor our teaching methods and support strategies to better meet the needs of individual students.
Late Finish
If your child takes DIT or Citizenship please note there will be a later finish on Thursday 14th and Tuesday 19th to allow for pupils to complete their full examination. Further information will come out directly to those parents and pupils.
October Half Term
With the half-term break just around the corner, we wanted to take a moment to remind you that we will be holding interventions for Year 11 pupils from Monday 21st October to Thursday 24th October 2024.

How can you help at home:
To further support your child’s success during this period, I would like to offer the following suggestions for parents/guardians:
Encourage a Balanced Routine / Quiet Space to Work / Emotional Support / Stay Informed
Please remember that these mock examinations are a learning opportunity for your child, and the results will help guide their preparation for the final exams. It’s essential that we focus not only on the outcomes but also on the learning process itself.
If you have any questions or concerns regarding the mock examinations or your child’s progress, please do not hesitate to reach out to the school. We are here to support you and your child every step of the way.
Thank you for your continued partnership in your child’s education. Together, we can help them achieve their best potential.
Sincerely,
Mr S. Fatania
