Dear Parents/Carers
Year 11 Exams Information Afternoon: Thursday 1st May 2025, 17.00 – 18.00
As your child prepares for their final GCSE examinations, we at Strood Academy want to ensure they feel fully supported and equipped for success.
We are hosting a Year 11 Exam Information Afternoon on Thursday 1st May 2025, 17.00 – 18.00. This event is a fantastic opportunity for you to gain valuable insights into the following:
- Exam Timetables: We will provide a detailed breakdown of the exam schedule, including dates, times and locations for each subject.
- Finishing Timetable: You’ll receive information about the revised finishing timetable during the exam period, allowing your child to focus on specific subjects as needed.
- Wellbeing and Support: Our dedicated pastoral team will be on hand to discuss strategies for managing stress and anxiety during this crucial time. We’ll also share details about the additional support services available to students.
- Final Revision Tips: Experienced staff will offer practical advice and resources to help your child maximise their revision efforts in the weeks leading up to the exams.
- Surprise good luck message for our Year 11 Students: To create a sense of community and support amongst our Year 11 cohort, we’d love to showcase messages of encouragement from you, the parents and guardians. By clicking on the link below, you can access a Google Form where you can write a personalised good luck message to your child and their peers. You also have the option to include a photo of your child (embarrassing photos welcomed) which will be displayed during this event. This will be shared with pupils during the Exam information evening as a surprise, so please keep this secret.

The deadline to submit your message and photo is Wednesday 23rd April.
We understand that the exam period can be a stressful time for both students and parents. We are here to support you every step of the way. Attending the Year 11 Exam Information Afternoon is a great way to gain valuable information and address any concerns you may have.
We look forward to seeing you there.
Yours faithfully
