Dear Parents/Carers,
I wish to share a booklet with you which contains information regarding your child’s education in both English Language and Literature. We are clearly in very extraordinary and challenging times so it is important that your child feels supported throughout this period leading up to the end of Year 11.
In the booklet you will find information about the layout of the English Language and Literature papers as well as useful ideas and strategies for your child to use as part of their revision and independent learning.
I cannot stress enough the importance of students engaging in their lessons whilst working remotely; all lesson tasks and homework, as set by their teachers, is vital evidence for them to see where specific gaps in learning arise and to plan supportive measures to close these gaps. In addition to this, independent revision plays a key role to improve attainment. I would therefore like to add that your child is encouraged to access the resources and ideas in this booklet as well as their English Google Classrooms and to proactively complete independent tasks which can be submitted for teacher marking and feedback.
