To Parents/Carers,
I am pleased to extend an exciting opportunity for our Year 11 Citizenship students to attend a day trip to the Houses of Parliament. This educational visit will include a guided tour of this historic institution, followed by an engaging workshop aimed at deepening the student’s understanding of the UK’s political system.
The trip is scheduled for Friday 7th February, and we plan to meet at Strood train station at 8am. Students will return to Strood train station by approximately 5pm. Should you require assistance with arranging transportation for your child to and from the academy to the train station, please let me know.
Please note that there are only 32 places available on this trip and they will be allocated on a first come, first served basis. The cost of the trip is £28.50 and payment can be made via Parent Pay in order to secure your child’s place.
If you are facing difficulties in funding this trip, please reach out to me directly at gaby.west@stroodacademy.org and we may be able to support.
The deadline for securing a place on this trip is Friday, 13th December. I encourage you to discuss this opportunity with your child and I will be in contact to inform you if your child has gained a place on this trip and with further, detailed information.
Kind regards,
Mrs West | Assistant Principal
