Spanish Restaurant Visit – La Taberna, Maidstone (Year 10 Students): Wednesday 16th of July 2025
We are pleased to inform you that we are organising a cultural enrichment experience for Year 10 students to visit La Taberna, an authentic Spanish restaurant in Maidstone, on Wednesday 16th of July 2025. This visit is designed to support students’ understanding of Spanish language and culture through a real-world experience.
Students will travel by minibus to the restaurant leaving from school at 1pm and returning at 4.30pm enjoy a shared tasting menu featuring a wide variety of traditional Spanish dishes, including:
Tapas choice of starters –
- 8 tapas of Bravioli (patatas bravas with two sauces)
- 8 tapas of Spanish omelette (tortilla española)
- 6 tapas of a selection of Iberico meats
- 4 tapas of calamari
- 4 tapas of pil pil prawns
- 4 tapas of chorizo in wine sauce
- 8 tapas of tomato meatballs
- 8 tapas of mixed croquettes
- 4 tapas of garlic mushrooms
Main – A large chicken and vegetable paella to share
Dessert – Churros for dessert
Drinks – Water and squash for all students
This experience is a valuable opportunity for students to broaden their cultural knowledge and appreciation of Spanish cuisine in a fun, social setting. The cost of the meal is £34 per student, including transport to and from the restaurant.
