Dear Parents and Carers,
As we approach the upcoming mock exam period, we want to take this opportunity to share some important information about the schedule and structure of these assessments. Mock exams are a crucial part of students’ academic journey, providing them with a valuable opportunity to experience formal exam conditions and assess their progress ahead of the final examinations.
In Week 1 of the mock exam period, students will complete in-class assessments for their option subjects. These assessments will be held during regular lesson times and delivered by class teachers. This approach ensures that students are assessed in a familiar environment while still maintaining the importance and formality of the mock process.
For EBACC subjects (English, Maths, Science, History, Geography, and Languages), all students will sit formal exams as a full cohort in the main exam hall. These assessments are designed to closely mirror the structure and expectations of the final GCSE exams, helping to prepare students for the demands of the summer exam series.
To support both students and families during this period, we will provide a weekly overview of the upcoming assessments as well as daily updates. This communication will ensure that you are kept fully informed of the exam schedule, any changes, and how your child can best prepare. We appreciate your ongoing support in encouraging your child to approach these assessments with focus and commitment.
Kind regards,
A.Panayi | Associate Assistant Principal
