How will I be assessed?

Sociology is assessed by 100% exam.

You will sit three exam papers at the end of Yr 13, each of these are worth a third of your A Level. Each paper is 80 marks and  two hours long. The papers have a mixture of short answer and essay questions.

Career opportunities and Future study

The skills that you learn when studying sociology are very broad and can be applied to many areas of work. 

Many universities around the UK will offer Sociology as a course, some may even allow you to take it with another subject in a joint degree.

Some related career areas include; police, government, law, teaching, media, marketing, charitable organisations, social and market research, counselling and journalism/communications.
