Dear Parents/Carers
We are excited to be able to offer 30 Key Stage 3 students the opportunity to visit The Orchard Theatre in Dartford to watch C.S. Lewis’ ‘The Lion, The Witch and The Wardrobe’ on Wednesday 19th March 2025. This is an excellent opportunity to see a classic children’s story come to life on stage and to support them in their understanding of live theatre which they will go on to study for their GCSEs.
We will travel to and from the theatre by a school minibus. Students will come to school as usual, in full school uniform, and have the opportunity to collect lunch in the school restaurant before departure at 12.45pm.
We are aiming to return to the area by 6pm though we will be able to confirm this closer to the time when the venue has confirmed the runtime of the show. Before the trip you will have the opportunity to decide whether you are happy for your child to be dismissed independently upon return to school or if they will need to wait to be collected by a parent.
The cost of the trip will be £17.50pp payable via ParentPay. As places for this trip are limited to 30, a quick sign up will make it more likely a place is secured.
