Dear Parents and Carers,
I hope this letter finds you well. I am writing to inform you about an important reminder regarding the dress code for our students at Strood Academy Sixth Form. As part of our commitment to maintaining a safe and respectful learning environment, we wish to remind you of our dress code policy regarding the type of skirts and dresses that students are permitted to wear.
Therefore, students will no longer be allowed to wear bodycon or lycra skirts or dresses of any kind. This decision has been made to ensure clarity and consistency in our dress code guidelines. Moving forward, skirts or dresses worn by students must be of a tailored material. This adjustment is crucial in upholding a standard of professionalism and appropriateness within the school setting.
We kindly request your support in reinforcing this guideline with your child to avoid any confusion or
inconvenience. Understanding the importance of a unified approach to dress code compliance will
contribute to a positive and cohesive school community.
Should you have any queries or require further clarification regarding this update, please do not hesitate to contact me or Mr Harpur by emailing victoria.wrighton@stroodacademy.org or
james.harpur@stroodacademy.org. We value your partnership in promoting a culture of respect,
responsibility, and readiness for learning at Strood Academy.
Thank you for your attention to this matter. Together, we can uphold the standards that reflect the values of our school community.
Yours sincerely,
Victoria Wrighton | Head of Sixth Form, Assistant Principal
