Parking On-Site

Strood Academy Letter image

Dear Parents and Carers,

I hope this letter finds you well. I would like to take this opportunity to thank you for your continued support and cooperation.

Since our return from the Christmas break, we have observed a significant increase in the number of vehicles accessing the academy site during drop-off and pick-up times. Regrettably, this surge in traffic is raising concerns regarding the safety of our pupils.

We appreciate that some parents may need to collect their children for a variety of reasons, yet we must prioritise the safety of all our students. To help us manage this situation more effectively, we kindly request that you complete a short form to apply for a parking permit. The academy will review and issue permits on a case-by-case basis, so it is essential to provide adequate detail in your application.

Apply for a parking permit during drop off and pick up times here.

Should you be issued with a parking permit, please note that an expiry date will be included, determined by the specifics of your application. While we recognise that there may be emergencies that necessitate your presence on-site during peak times, we strongly encourage you to arrange alternative pick-up points within the local area where possible.

We also wish to remind all parents to be respectful of our local community when dropping off and collecting students from the academy. Maintaining good relations with our neighbours is vital.

This new procedure will be implemented from Monday, 27th January 2025. Subsequently, the academy will inform you when your parking permit is ready for collection.

Thank you for your cooperation and understanding in this matter.

With best wishes,
Mr Jon Richardson | Principal
