Lexia Intervention Program

A young student making notes during a lesson.

Dear Parents/Carers,

This year we have implemented Lexia Power Up Intervention for selected students in Key Stage 3. Lexia is a research-proven, technology-based program designed to support and enhance reading skills for students of various abilities. It offers personalised learning pathways tailored to each student’s specific needs, ensuring they receive targeted instruction and practice in areas where they may require additional support.

We firmly believe that this intervention program will play a pivotal role in furthering your child’s reading proficiency, which is a fundamental skill that underpins success in all areas of their education.

I am inviting your child to attend weekly Lexia interventions. I ask that you support your child’s progress by encouraging them to log on to the Lexia platform from home, and encourage them to attend their weekly sessions in school. Regular engagement with the program will maximise the benefits and accelerate their progress.

Your child’s login details will be their first name and surname, and the password is LEXIA. For example:

JaneDoe

The weekly Lexia times are as follows:

Year 7: Wednesday Period 3 (10:20) in room 132.
Year 8/9: Wednesday Period 4 (12:00) in room 149.

We are excited about the positive impact this program will have on your child’s academic journey and look forward to witnessing their growth and success.

Thank you for your ongoing support.

Yours faithfully,

Mrs K Hoare
