Letter from the Principal

Dear Parents and Carers,

In readiness for our final term for this academic year, please observe the following notices and reminders:

  • Please continue to carry out lateral flow tests every Wednesday and Sunday.  Test kits were delivered to students this week.  All test results should be reported to the NHS and the Academy needs to be informed of any positive results per our usual protocol.
  • Whilst we are still in a pandemic we continue to restrict the visitors to the site to keep the Academy COVID secure for the health and safety of us all.  We ask that you only attend the site if a prior appointment has been made.  Staff at the Academy work extremely hard and diligently to support our students to the best of their abilities. We have had a small number of incidents where parents have displayed abusive or intimidating behaviour towards our staff. This is extremely disappointing and will not be tolerated within the Academy as it goes against the ethos of working with the community.   In the event of this happening you will be asked to leave the Academy site as a safeguarding precaution for our staff and students and if necessary you may be barred from the academy premises in the future. We appreciate your support in keeping our Academy a safe place for all.
  • From next term, we look forward to starting to integrate our Year 10 students into the upper stage of their school career and start to prepare them for Year 11.  The  Year 10 lunch break will therefore be moved to the later lunch time of 12:15pm so they can join the upper school.
  • Term dates for 2022-23 are now published on our website and can be accessed via this link

Term Dates

Please be reminded that next term starts on Monday 7 June and we expect students to be in school by 8:40am for registration at 8:45am. Please ensure all students arrive promptly and in full uniform ready to start the term.

We wish you all an enjoyable and safe half term break.

Yours sincerely

Mrs Anwar
