Exceptional GCSE success at Strood Academy

We write to share with you the excellent achievements of Year 11 at Strood Academy in this year’s GCSE results and it brings us great pleasure to announce our pupils have achieved another year of exceptional success.

We extend our warmest congratulations to all pupils who are celebrating their achievements at Strood Academy. Their commitment, perseverance, and determination have resulted in excellent results that now provide them with a range of choices and opportunities for their future educational and employment pathways. Moreover, it is imperative to acknowledge the holistic development of our students into well-rounded individuals equipped for the challenges of the 21st century.

This year’s results continue to reflect the strong progress being made across the academy with academic improvements being made in several areas.

Many subjects achieved their best ever results with English language, English literature, maths, history, drama, financial studies, health & fitness, citizenship, digital information technology, enterprise and marketing, geography, health and social care all achieving their highest ever grade averages. While fine art sustained a fifth consecutive year of 100% grade 4 pass rate. It is also pleasing to see that our pupils achieved a higher percentage of grades at grade 7 and above.

Behind the success of our pupils lies the unwavering support and expertise of all staff at Strood Academy. We commend our staff for their dedication, guidance, and encouragement which have been integral in nurturing our pupils towards academic excellence. Their hard work has enabled our students to realise their full potential and excel in their studies.

  • Arvydas: grade 7 in English language, grade 8 in English literature, grade 7 in maths, grade 8-8 in science, grade 8 in history, grade 7 in citizenship, distinction in finance, grade 5 in statistics.
  • Giovanni: grade 7 in English language, grade 5 in English literature, grade 9 in maths, grade 8-8 in science, grade 8 in geography, grade 6 in Spanish, grade 5 in 3D design, distinction in health and fitness and grade 5 in statistics.
  • Mikas: grade 8 in English Language, grade 8 in English literature, grade 8 in maths, grade 8-8 in science, grade 7 in geography, grade 4 in Spanish, grade 5 in 3D, merit in enterprise and marketing and grade 5 in statistics.
  • Jimmy: grade 7 in English language, grade 6 in English literature, grade 9 in maths, grade 8-8 in science, grade 7 in geography, grade 5 in Spanish, distinction in drama, grade 5 in fine art, grade 5 in statistics.
  • Zhihao: grade 6 in English language, grade 7 in English literature, grade 8 in maths, grade 7-7 in science, grade 7 in history, grade 5 in Spanish, distinction* in finance, distinction in hospitality and catering and grade 5 in statistics.
  • Amy: grade 9 in English language, grade 6 in English literature, grade 6 in maths, grade 6-6 in science, grade 7 in geography, grade 6 in Spanish, distinction* in hospitality and catering, grade 8 in media studies and grade 5 in statistics.
  • Micheal: grade 9 in English language, grade 6 in English literature, grade 8 in maths, grade 7-7 in science, grade 7 in history, grade 5 in citizenship, grade 5 in fine art and grade 5 in statistics.

Sixth Form at Strood Academy:
