Foodbank

This Christmas we are supporting Medway Foodbank and the Trussell Trust.

If you are able to spare the following item/s, please ask your child to bring them to Student Services each morning. There will be a box ready for them to place their items in. Please ensure food items are within date and fully labelled:

  • Any tinned or dried foods such as pasta
  • UHT or dried milk
  • Toiletries
  • Washing up liquid or detergents.

Thursday 8th December Save the Children’s Christmas Jumper Day

We are inviting staff and students to join in with Christmas Jumper Day this year and extend this to students wearing a jumper, badge or hairband.  In line with our uniform policy and in the interests of health and safety these are the three articles that can be worn and this does not extend to Christmas jewellery, full outfits or hats.  If you would like to donate or would like more information, please visit the Save the Children website.  This year, each time you donate £2, the UK government has promised to give £2 to Save the Children too.  Alternatively, there will be a cash collection on this day if students want to donate at school.

Wednesday 14th December Christmas lunch

Our caterers will provide a Christmas meal at lunchtime and this can be purchased in the normal way using ParentPay.  Students on free school meals will have the option to have the Christmas meal.  The cost of the meal is £2.50 and pudding can be purchased for an additional £1.45.  The menu is attached to this notice.

Monday 19th December Performing Arts Christmas show

Our Performing Arts students look forward to performing the panto Jack and the Beanstalk this year.  Tickets are available to buy priced at £1.50 each and will be limited to 3 per student initially.  We do have a limited number of tickets available and tickets will be sold on a first come first served basis.  Tickets are available to buy via ParentPay.  When payment is made you will receive a confirmation email and your name will be added to the guest list.

Tuesday 20th December End of term and celebration assemblies

Celebration assemblies will be held for each year group on the last day of term celebrating group and individual successes across the two terms.

Students will be dismissed from school at 12:20pm on the last day of term.  Please note the MY8 bus service is confirmed for early departure at 12:35pm but the 652 bus service is unable to amend the departure time.  Therefore, if your child travels home using the 652  bus service to Cuxton, Wainscott and St Mary’s Island, they will need to find an alternative way home.

January return

Although Tuesday 3rd January is not a Bank Holiday, this is still part of the school holidays.  Please note that Wednesday 4th January is an INSET day and students will return in the new year on Thursday 5th January.
