Young Roots Rediscovering Temple Manor Project

During our meeting on Tuesday 6 February, we talked about having a large jigsaw made out of Tithe Maps taken from the Temple Manor area. This would be available for young visitors to play with.

We learned that the Guildhall Museum in Rochester, was putting on a special exhibition about the Templars during the summer. This will be held inside a large tent, within the museum. As visitors emerge out of the exhibition, there will be a display panel explaining all about Temple Manor and how to visit it.

Malcolm Wright, from the Guildhall Museum, reported back on the copy we provided for the graphic panels, along with the cost for refurbishing the existing ones, the word and picture costs. He also provided a mock-up of how the panels might look.  We were given feedback on the work being carried out for us at the University of Portsmouth with the 3D modelling and the avatar they are creating for us.  Our next meeting is on 20th February, after the half term break; which everyone is welcome to attend.
