After months of waiting and anticipation, students finally had the chance to try a prototype of the virtual reality that will be available to visitors to use in the summer. Through the use of fiducial markers, students were able to view different areas of the Manor as it could have looked at the time of the Knights Templar. It was amazing to see, even in the development stage how the use of technology can transform and add to a visitor experience.
To support the visit, we were joined by Ciaran and Kye, from the University of Portsmouth, who are the developers of the system. Students were able to suggested how or what could be included and rate their experience.
