Students Raise Money for Homeless at Christmas

Students at Strood Academy went and packed peoples shopping in Morrisons in Strood to help raise money for the homeless on Friday 8th December.

The students held a collection of food and money. They raised £191 plus they also collected a trolley full of food. The students got to engage with the public and help educate people about homelessness.

The Co-op opposite the Academy have also very kindly been collecting food and warm blankets and clothing and helping with our efforts.

We took all of the donated items to Caring Hands in Chatham, the items will help people who are in desperate need here in Medway.
